Retaliation

Last week, my husband said something so hurtful. Perhaps it is true that that I started it and pushed him to say that. However, we both agreed that what he said was really below the belt.

I have opted not to fight fire with fire. I decided to be very pleasant. I even cooked his favorite dish, adobo.

When you cook adobo, try to add 1-2 table spoon of Knorr Liquid Seasoning in your marinade and in your sauce. It makes your adobo more malasa.

And pan fry muna the pork and chicken before you make the sauce.

Anyway, going back to my point. I  have learned that the best way to retaliate is through GUILT. If I get more aggressive, my husband, with his bruised ego, will match my aggression. If I am nicer, he becomes calm and he starts feeling guilty.

I really need to be strategic in dealing with my husband. I don't have the energy to fight. Instead, I prepared a feast...

Let's see how long I can use this technique.

Pissed and hungry,

L

  1. your technique is nice. kindness over ego. no tit for tat.
oo nga naman, it will be a waste of energy to fight with someone you will spend the rest of your life with. BUT condescending a person, most specially a spouse is not good. That is verbal abuse. I hope the husband was just tired and did not mean what he said.sorry ang pakialamera ko.

    1. He was angry and blurted our shitty words. He said sorry but you know, I probably won't forget. Best in History kasi ako nung High School.

    1. Well, I know that my husband is a good man who loves me very much. Sometimes he just makes mistakes. Knowing this makes it easy for me to let some things go.and I pray a lot.

And I'm genuinely interested in people. I listen and observe a lot to identify how they react to certain situation.
