Happy Kitchen in Amigo Terrace- Iloilo

When I go to Iloilo with my husband, we usually go to Breakthrough and  Tatoy's because it's stupid not to eat seafoods when you are here.

After nearly 5 days of non-stop grilled pork and fish, my palate needed something more western and I wanted to eat in a much nicer (posh!) and more comfortable place (freezing air-conditioning). Quite frankly, the sea breeze was not doing my hair and skin any good.

On my way to Iloilo Supermart to buy cake, I passed by Amigo Terrace mall and stumbled upon this cute restaurant, HAPPY KITCHEN. Note: S has also been complaining that he is hungry...

I was immediately drawn to it because of it's bright and colorful interiors as well as it's glass walls that make the place look very well spacious.

Upon walking in, I just fell inlove with the place! All the chairs are  ghost chairs. BONGGA!

I love the rustic accents too. The place reminds me of cafés I frequent in Hong Kong and Singapore!

Then I looked to the right and saw that they also sell culinary and baking tools! I forgot about my husband and I started browsing.

S was grumpy na so he ordered without waiting for me. He had the Pan-Seared Bacon Slab marinated in Yougurt. The set includes coleslaw and a cup of coffee. The generous serving only costs 195 pesos.

While he was eating, I checked out Perri.

I have low EQ so I attempted to pet the turtle. It didn't react to my loving touch!

Then I started getting introspective again. I wondered what the turtle was thinking about. I wonder if he is sad because he has no friends and he doesn't have much to do in his tank.

Because I was spending so much time worrying about Perri and his life, S ordered this delicious steamed carrot cupcake. Napaka unassuming noh?

It is definitely one of the best cupcakes I have tasted and I have tasted A LOT.  Their carrot cupcake is so moist and the balance of flavor is perfect.  At 50 pesos, this cupcake is a steal!

If you get to visit my hometown, HAPPY KITCHEN is restaurant that you shouldn't miss. This is one of the coziest places in Iloilo. The perfect place to chill.  They even have board games to help you do just that!

And if you do get to visit, please let me know how Perri is... His welfare is very important to me. Take his pic and email to me ha!

Happy in happy kitchen,

L

PS> This is not paid post ha! I don't get paid noh. Amateur ang lowla. I just really love the place. N0 echoz pramis.
